The Sunday Morning - A Young Girl

As alarm goes on she snoozes it off
who wakes up so early on a Sunday.
Its the only day in the week when she
sleeps and extends her ongoing dreams.

With few minutes on, the mobile beeps
reminding her again that it’s time to
creep out of the bed and move life.
She gives this thought a miss but
before that she open her eyes a little,
checks the time on the phone,
moves her thumb in a pattern to
see the notification since she slept.
A b'day of a friend, few likes & comments.

Still reposed on her messy bed,
she takes a selfie of a half closed eye
with a string of hair falling off with swag
and puts it on a app with many hashtags.
Disposing her thoughts again now
she closes her eyes for a nap to begin.

This time it goes for a stretched span
before her phone starts to sirens loud
in her half sleep she does realise
this music plays when mom is on line.
Bringing her out of bed and a call to attend
she is thinking of her way to sound and act.
But one thing is for sure that it’s just the
beginning of a lazy Sunday morning ahead.
