Untitled - Ch - 1 Intro

I know its unusual for me to write without the title but this time there is no title yet. So let me know if you have one, I'll try to adapt it.  The radiant LED and 2 horn honk of this sleek convertible was enough to let Pran Singh know that it is indeed, Laksh saab. He as usual went to open the main gate and without asking for any security check, the car was let in. Laksh was a usual visitor to  Venus One,  one of the posh residential tower in the city. He was always high on speed, full of attitude and arrogance, yet to Pran kaka he would always be simple and respectful. Many of the people who knew him, found this feature very unusual to his other traits. Whenever not in hurry, Laksh would gesture his respect by slightly lowering his head while Pran kaka would open the gates for him. This was not just towards Pran Singh but anyone whom he found working beyond their abilities, for Laksh, life was to endeavor. As, Laksh didn't show his gesture today, Pran Singh knew, there

The Birthday

There are incidents that you can never forget in life. Somehow they are clung by you unknowingly in such a way that some or the other thing keep reminding of them. Like many other, even I had one which not exactly an incident but a story i heard on one of those long train journeys.  Picture Courtesy: Hugo Roy, Kickstarter There was a girl, young, innocent with a beautiful heart. She had just fallen in love with a handsome boy of her age. She would meet him daily on outskirts of their small town. Together they would sit, talk and share their dreams, happiness and sorrows.  Everything was going good when one day boy told her that he had to leave town for a fortnight to do business in another town. The girl became very sad. It wasn't the first time the boy was leaving her but she was going to miss him on his birthday which was due next week.  She had planned many things for his birthday as it was the first time they would be together celebrating it. So she asked hi

Power of an Innocent Thought

It was a decent restaurant in the outskirts of the city. I use to go there often to spend some time alone and look out for strange characters who would pass the city through that highway. One day just after a heavy rainfall, when I was waiting for my tea to arrive. Only then owner of restaurant Mrs Shukla, herself came and put two glasses of tea on the table, sat in front of me and asked, "What's wrong with you?" I was taken aback by her strange question. Then a thought came, how can she know that I not in best of my mood today. Actually, I had just failed in entrance exam  of a film school and that was my last chance. I almost wanted to end this idea of becoming a story teller. “See your face is saying all about it.” she said breaking my thoughts. “Let me tell you a story of me, rainbow and this restaurant, which made me realized that there is a great power in thoughts.”, she said soothingly. ~~~~~ On a late Sunday noon, a family of four came into my restau

The Sunday Morning - A Young Girl

As alarm goes on she snoozes it off who wakes up so early on a Sunday. Its the only day in the week when she sleeps and extends her ongoing dreams. With few minutes on, the mobile beeps reminding her again that it’s time to creep out of the bed and move life. She gives this thought a miss but before that she open her eyes a little, checks the time on the phone, moves her thumb in a pattern to see the notification since she slept. A b'day of a friend, few likes & comments. Still reposed on her messy bed, she takes a selfie of a half closed eye with a string of hair falling off with swag and puts it on a app with many hashtags. Disposing her thoughts again now she closes her eyes for a nap to begin. This time it goes for a stretched span before her phone starts to sirens loud in her half sleep she does realise this music plays when mom is on line. Bringing her out of bed and a call to attend she is thinking of her way to sound and act. But one thing is for sure that it’s just th

The Sunday Morning - A Housewife

With ray of light she open her eyes to fill her world with her care & love Even though when everyone is sleep weekend retire never sways her thought She does her chores with all the zeal no body sees her taking any rest She is always upright at her best She plans the whole day to spend some time with her busy husband and children grown From the crunchy breakfast to savoury lunch she makes all special dishes for them to relish But her Sundays have become void too all have clubs, friends and commitments prefixing mom & darling to the phrase I am going, will be back soon, they all leave for the Sunday to play As everyone goes out leaving her there lonely she just parts all the preparations she was doing And she laid back on her bed, lazily, tiredly creeping in to herself and dreaming of that, yet to come ‘Relaxed loving Sunday of her life.’

Painting, Ch 2

It was long after we had separated from each other, being in a blissful accord of marriage. I happen to come across a painting that was put up for sale in the café, where I use to come after my working hours. Coming here was a different feeling altogether, it felt as if I am away from the weird world which exist to not to exist. There was a certain kind of connection which I sensed whenever I am here, it was like someone might have awaken my soul from the crowd of soulless realm.  So I asked Abhijeet, the cashier how come this painting here and that too for sale. He told me it was of a customer who was a regular and had dues to be cleared off, for which the painting acts as surety. Out of my eccentricity, I asked for the price and what I was told was nothing compared to the beauty of the painting. Just twelve thousand and seven hundred, I cross checked but it was certain. By the time I had got my regular coffee which I took to the habituated corner table of mine, I felt so immerse
